It is the National Year of Reading. The Victorian public libraries invite you to write on a postcard they have provided .Look at the illustration on the front of the postcard (all or part of it) for inspiration.

Entries are open to young people who are in years 7 to 12 (or age equivalent) and who live, work or study in the City of Casey.
This year, the competition has 3 categories: Creative Writing Max 750 words. (No topic/theme) Poetry/Lyrics Max 1 page. (No topic/theme) English as a Second Language Max 750 words. (Open to students who are currently enrolled in ESL studies)
Work will be judged according to year level:
(i) Years 7 & 8, (ii) Years 9 & 10 and (iii) Years 11 & 12.

Write4fun.Enter your poems, short stories and artwork into Write4Fun's competitions open to all school students in Australia. Entry IS NOW OPEN in the Schools Writing Competition for 2012! Students all over Australia are invited to enter their short stories OR poems, and battle it out for the great cash prizes on offer. This round- there is no theme!! Entrants are encouraged to let their imaginations run wild and get their creative juices flowing to write on ANY TOPIC and in ANY STYLE. Students from ALL GRADES are welcome to enter - Kindergarten to Grade 12.
